Singer/Songwriter Class

This workshop offers the opportunity to bring a song or lyrics finished or in progress to perform for a group. We will work through your songs by breaking down the fundamentals of songwriting, such as basic song form, harmony and melody, and rhyme scheme; sharing ideas and offering new insight into song craft. Bring your instrument (unless it's a piano) and we will bring the rest!

Ayo Awosika - Voice and Piano Instructor

Education
Ayo received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance and Improvisation from Berklee College of Music and studied Classical Voice at the University of Indianapolis for two years. She has studied with well known jazz vocalists Robin McKelle, Bob Stoloff, and Peter Eldridge (of the New York Vocies).

Achievements/Scholarships
In addition to performing in various bands around Colorado (including well-known, Boulder based, 12 piece, funk band, Funkiphino), Ayo is also a songwriter and performs much of her original music in various venues in the Denver/Boulder area.

Highlights/Performances
Ayo is a seasoned performer of various contemporary styles including jazz, pop, soul, and folk. She has had extensive performance experience in both traditional and recital repertoire.
