I received a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in 2014, where I focused principally on guitar, with emphasis in performance, education, and audio engineering. Upon completing my musical education I relocated to Nashville and spent nearly 5 years working in the towns historic recording studios. I have been a student and teacher of music for over half my life and enjoy the opportunity to share my education and experiences with other musicians at Boulder Lesson Studio. I also play drums and piano.
Having spent many years as both student and teacher, from beginner instruction all the way to collegiate level music education, I understand how crucial the teacher - student dynamic is to the development of all musicians. As an instructor I consider it my professional responsibility to understand the musical interests and goals of each individual student and focus on implementing developmentally appropriate teaching methods that target those preferences in order to provide inspiring, well balanced music education. I pride myself on offering instruction in a fun and encouraging atmosphere, providing all students the support necessary to unlock their limitless musical potential. I am dedicated and committed to the success of all my students!
Part of what makes music so compelling and personally interesting to me is how virtually unending it is. As long as you seek them, there will always be opportunities to continue growing musically. One of the most important parts of my personal practice is to constantly challenge myself to work toward skills, styles, theory, and techniques that are new or outside my comfort zone. I believe the only limit to potential is the one you place on yourself.

When I was 12 years old, I woke up to a beautiful red Stratocaster underneath the Christmas tree. My uncle showed me a few chords and songs and it completely took me over. I became attached to the guitar the way some children are attached to stuffed animals or blankets. I never wanted to put it down. I’m still not over it.
