“The only thing better than singing is more singing”
Specializing in operatic repertoire, Rebecca has performed and understudied major roles such as Isabella in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, Mistress Quickly and Meg Page in Falstaff, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, and various operatic recitals in America and Italy. She is also passionate about uplifting the works of underrepresented composers and has performed in chamber operas by Amy Beach as Mary in Cabildo, and by Antonio de Literes as Fuego in Los Elementos.
Outside of opera, Rebecca has performed in musicals such as Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music” as Desiree and in a new musical, “Polly Peachum” by Gene Schere, where she originated the roles of Princess Caroline and Lavinia.

Practice Tips
- Before your practice, state your intentions. For example, “today I want to work on the riffs in verse two of my song!”
- I like to start any singing practice by just making noise to free up the voice! No expectations; just making lots of noise to get the ball rolling.
- Having a list of singing exercises to go through before working on your song is helpful to prime your voice. Even though we all want to jump right in, the work we do beforehand in vocal exercises will make performing and practicing easier (and more enjoyable)!
- The pressure to sing your song perfectly causes nerves that make it difficult to achieve your goals. Let go of perfectionism and instead, celebrate milestones!
- Recording your practice sessions and lessons to listen to later helps to solidify what you are working on.
